ELAU (Germany) was acquired by Schneider in 2005, and the drive belongs to the PacDrive M fourth generation motion control platform. The original material alias is VDM01D10AA00, and the order number is 13130247.

2、 Shutdown status (current in 2026)
Permanent shutdown of the entire machine
The PacDrive M (MC-4 full series) has long ceased mass production, and Schneider will officially terminate all original factory repair technical support by the end of 2024, no longer providing original repair spare parts, firmware updates, and technical services.
There are only three types of market sources available
Overseas inventory of brand new machines: extremely low inventory and high prices;
Original refurbished whole machine: replace capacitors, power tubes, fans, conduct aging tests on the whole machine, as a mainstream replacement solution;
Dismantling second-hand parts: Packaging equipment dismantling requires complete load testing for procurement.
Alternative platforms
The new generation PacDrive 3 (VDM series new model) is completely incompatible with hardware, bus, and motor cables. The entire control cabinet needs to be modified and cannot be directly interchanged.

9、 Key points of operation and maintenance replacement
The original factory has no maintenance support, and only third-party industrial control vendors can repair the faulty machine;
The replacement must be of the same current model. Low current drives cannot drive high-power motors, and frequent overload alarms occur;
SERCOS bus cable is dedicated and cannot be replaced by ordinary shielded wires;
Supporting motor: ELAU SH/SM series servo motor, the new PacDrive3 motor is not compatible;
The new project strictly prohibits the use of this model and requires direct upgrade to the PacDrive3 next-generation servo system.
